Like most people, myself and Gorka want to feel and look our best when on holiday.

Knowing most of it will be spent in bikinis and swim shorts, it’s nice to feel comfortable.

Goal wise, it is more mental-based than physical, to be honest. Gorka is already in good shape and I feel okay too.

It’s just having the mental boost of feeling that bit better. Of course, it’s also nice that the side effects will be getting leaner for both of us, and getting more definition, but primarily we want to feel the best possible version of ourselves as possible.

I had a holiday after my last transformation and felt incredible! Everyone was saying how healthy and strong I looked, and I was happy that I could try any bikini on and not have to worry.

This time around, training as a couple is making it different in that we have each other to motivate and to cook with, and just to make it all around more fun. It’s nice having a training buddy.

U.P. are on hand for us with exercise, diet and motivation. Our trainer Steve, or ‘Evil Steve’ as we call him, has been incredible, and although I mostly hate him during the sessions because he kills me, I’m so grateful to him afterwards. He’s changed my life in regards to training.

We never buy outfits in advance to wear on holiday, as I think that just puts on more pressure. I believe in persistence over perfection, and if for some reason I had an outfit as a goal and didn’t make it, rather than focus on how far I’d come, I’d focus solely on that.

To keep motivated, we remind ourselves how good we felt last time, and how we’ve done this before so we know it’s doable again.

We’re very aware that some days it’s harder to train then others, but we always feel better afterwards, so we just knuckle down and get it done. It’s totally worth it because no one ever regrets a workout.

Your body and your mental self will definitely reward you for it.
