One of the main things I’ve learned from my time at U.P. is that even though I was ‘going to the gym’ before, I was training without a plan.
I have always lacked motivation at the gym, and I always found that I was doing the same thing over and over again and not making progress.
What I will take from this experience is that you must have goals, otherwise you will just carry on thinking that your casual workouts (whenever you can be bothered to go) are enough. They’re not.
One of the biggest parts of this process is consistency and simply lasting the distance. At the start, when you feel tired and hungry, it can feel like you’re never going to be able to complete it. But the good news is, it does get easier.
You very quickly start to feel fitter, and your body adapts to your new way of eating and training.
I’ve also really noticed that even though you are training the hardest you ever have in your life, your body doesn’t really have many aches and pains. This is all down to the expertise of the trainers at U.P.
Scott’s body transformation has been as much about feeling his best, mentally, as it is about looking good, physically.
I used to have major aches and pains and struggled with lower back problems, but that has not been the case during my time at U.P.
My lower back is certainly my weak point, but I have had hardly any issues with it despite the intense sessions.
What the trainers at U.P. do so well is explain everything about the process, and they have also all done their own transformations, so they know exactly what you’re going through! They understand the occasional lack of energy, and how difficult (but rewarding) it really is.
What you eat during the course of the transformation is key too, because to lose body fat you must be in a calorie deficit. So, to make this happen, what you eat and when you eat matters more than ever.
I would highly recommend the meals from EatUP. For someone with a busy life, I would say it’s essential to make sure you’re doing everything correctly. It’s made so easy for you, and takes away any time-consuming meal prep.
The meals are all good quality protein with vegetables, and even though it feels like you’re eating less, they do make you feel satisfied and full.
I’m starting to see some abs, and sometimes if you’re struggling, trust me, that feels fantastic!
