Food Doesn’t Control My Life Anymore: Scott Mills’ Blog Week 11

This body transformation challenge with U.P. has massively impacted the way I view food and training.

The two simply MUST work hand in hand.

Before starting with U.P., I did two sessions a week with a trainer, and I thought that was probably enough. But now I know that isn’t enough.

I would constantly moan and ask myself why I was still overweight when I had a fairly healthy diet and went to the gym. I would also tell myself I could eat whatever I wanted because I was active, but in reality, that wasn’t the case.

Sean, my U.P. trainer, has taught me to put my excuses aside and focus.

I think back to before I took this on, and I would be getting Ubers everywhere, and I did very little walking. Now I walk everywhere, and I feel a real sense of achievement when I look at my Fitbit every day and see how many steps I’ve managed to do.

The structure of the training at U.P., the meals from EatUP, and my cardio has become a way of life.

Obviously, once the transformation is done I can relax a little more, but I want so much to complete this mission so much and prove to myself that I did it.

There is so much encouragement every step of the way from the team at U.P.

Also, what’s good about the gyms is that everyone in there is doing the same thing. Body transformations are what these guys are world-class at – and it’s good to know that when you’re lacking a bit of motivation or feeling tired or hungry that you’re not alone. Everyone there is facing the same thing.

The trainers at U.P. have all also done the transformation at some point, so they know what their client is going through.

I have ended up taking my food with me wherever I go, even social events, and it becomes a good talking point. People ask me for tips on training and healthy eating now!
