Q&A: How to Get in Shape in Five Weeks

How to get in shape in five weeks – the short answer by top London Personal Trainer, Nick Mitchell.

Question: “Nick, I’m going on my older brother’s stag do in five weeks, but I’ve got a body like a slug. Is there a really quick fitness and diet regime I can do to pump up and slim in that time, or have I just blown it?”

Answer: Five weeks is plenty of time to change your body and build muscle and lose fat, but you need to be very disciplined. Drop all processed, starchy and sugary foods, consume 1-1.5gms of protein per lb of body weight, take in 10gms of supplemental fish oil daily, eat lots of green vegetables, and drink tonnes of water.

Go to the gym and lift heavy weights with full-body bodybuilding type workouts three times a week, and at least twice a week go into the park and do sprint training for 30 minute sessions.

Put your heart into it and this should transform your body in 5 weeks!
