Ultimate Performance launches newest US gym in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. is the new home of Ultimate Performance (U.P.).

The world’s leading personal training business has now launched its newest gym in the United States’ capital in 2020.

U.P. is the world’s only global personal training business, helping tens of thousands of clients achieve incredible body transformation results.

The business is known for training clients including Glen Powell (Top Gun 2) Kevin McHale (Glee) Lamorne Morris (Bloodshot) Olivia Colman (The Favourite) and Dustin Hoffman.

Now U.P. has brought its ‘maximum results, minimum time’ training and nutrition methodologies to the heart of America with the launch of Ultimate Performance Washington D.C.

The brand new gym has now opened its doors to personal training clients in 2020.

The 6,000 sq.ft private personal training facility that is dedicated solely to working with our own private clients on a one-to-one basis, is located at 1919 M Street NW in the city’s West End district.

The launch of U.P. Washington marks the next phase of U.P ‘s expansion into North America and across the globe.

It is the company’s first gym on the East Coast and follows the huge success of U.P.’s flagship gym in Los Angeles, which launched in 2018.

U.P. Founder and Global CEO Nick Mitchell says the realisation of a long-held ambition to bring elite personal training to Washington is immensely gratifying.

“Expansion across North America has always been the goal for U.P., and D.C. has always been at the very top of that list.

“D.C. is the seat of the world’s leading businesses, political figures and power brokers and such a globally-important center deserves world-class, results-driven personal training that U.P. is renowned for.

“U.P. has an unrivalled track record working with thousands of time-poor CEOs, business executives and celebrities who want no-nonsense results that are backed by science and the competitive edge in work and life that comes from optimising every aspect of their health, nutrition and lifestyle.”

U.P. Washington D.C. and the company’s personal training model is a unique proposition in the city.

Unlike other gyms, there are no memberships. It is a private personal training-only gym where each client is assigned a dedicated trainer incentivised to deliver the absolute maximum results possible over a specific block of time.

Nick says: “This results-driven approach runs contrary to 99% of the personal training industry in that our trainers’ success is measured and incentivised solely on the quality of their results and the value they deliver to the client, not on how many sales they make or spaces in the gym they fill.

“The service at U.P. Washington D.C. is completely tailored to the clients’ needs and goals from start to finish, and every client has a dedicated personal trainer that guides, supports and mentors them every step of their journey.

“Most people believe you have to spend hours in the gym to get the kinds of results you see in magazines, but this is not the case.

“The average U.P. transformation is just 2.7 hours a week of gym time – not exactly an insurmountable mountain of time for most of us.”

The opening of U.P. Washington D.C. is part of the wider global expansion of the business which now has 19 private gyms in 9 countries.

Washington has become U.P.’s second base in the U.S., with further locations planned in both Los Angeles and New York in the next 12 months.

Nick adds “This will bring up to 25 new jobs to the city for ambitious personal trainers looking to forge a genuine long-lasting career in the industry with the world’s leading personal training business.

“We are building the elite Washington D.C. team as we speak and looking to recruit trainers who want to be at the top of their game.

“Experience isn’t necessary; aptitude can be taught within our industry-leading mentorship scheme. However, attitude is everything, and we only hire trainers who want to build long-term careers.”
